NEWS- APPOINTMENT OF SARA HEATH AS CEO AT GB PENTATHLON

Sara Heath has been announced as the new Chief Executive of Pentathlon GB, to take the sport forward to Tokyo 2020 and beyond.

Sara will take the strategic lead of the National Governing Body from today (11th February 2019) and will guide the sport through the Senior European Championships in Bath this summer, the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 and into the next Olympic Cycle.

Sara brings a wealth of leadership experience, having held senior positions across a range of public and private sector organisations, most recently as Managing Director of Elfinn Consultancy, a Sport and Communications organisation. Sara is currently a Non Executive of British Triathlon Federation and British Shooting. At British Triathlon she has helped to oversee an engagement programme which recognises the work of the organisation’s volunteers.

Having been involved with a number of sports in both high performance and grass roots, Sara’s broad perspective of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector will be invaluable to developing Pentathlon GB.

Commenting on her recent appointment, Sara said: "I am hugely excited to be joining the team at Pentathlon GB. With a fantastic European Championships being held at the home of Pentathlon GB this August and 527 days to the Olympic Games there is so much to be positive about in Pentathlon and I look forward to building on the tremendous progress made so far."
